Robertson secures further place on higher education framework
Robertson Construction Group has been appointed to a fourth lot under the North Eastern Universities Purchasing Consortium’s (NEUPC) framework, reinforcing its position as a trusted delivery partner within the education sector.
Principally serving universities and the higher education sector across the north east, Yorkshire and Humber, and the Midlands (as well as some schools, NHS Trusts and public sector organisations), the NEUPC delivers and manages a wide range of collaborative framework agreements designed to maximise third-party expenditure.
Following a competitive tendering process, Robertson has been appointed to Lot B Yorkshire & Humber, for projects valued between £4m to £10m over the next four years. The scope of works includes all aspects of refurbishment, such as laboratories, lecture theatres, libraries, cafés, commercial kitchens, offices, public areas, and accommodation.
Robertson Construction Yorkshire & East Midlands has an established presence in the region, having delivered numerous high-quality projects. These include seven projects for the University of Sheffield, a research hub for the University of Huddersfield and an Advanced Technology Centre for The Sheffield College. The business is also currently delivering for Chesterfield College.
The appointment to Lot B Yorkshire & Humber follows on from three previous lots awarded to Robertson: ‘Mechanical & Electrical Works’, ‘Minor Works 2023 (£1m to £4.1m)’, and ‘Major Construction Works (£4.1m+)’. Under these lots, Robertson Construction North East delivered the £13m Teesside University’s Net Zero Industry Innovation Centre and Newcastle University's Farrell Centre, alongside smaller projects for various institutes.
Elliot Robertson, Chief Executive Officer, Robertson Group, commented: “Building on our strong track record as a trusted partner of choice for the delivery of high-quality projects in the education sector, this latest appointment will increase opportunities around the Yorkshire & Humber area.
“Having worked with many higher education institutions across the UK, we take immense pride in contributing to their growth and development, and we look forward to continuing that journey with new and existing partners.”
