Sir Bill RobertsonFounderBill founded Robertson in Elgin in 1966. A past president of the Scottish Builders Federation, Bill was made a CBE in recognition of his services to UK construction. He was knighted for his services to construction and charity in the 2023 New Year's Honours list. -
Elliot RobertsonChief Executive OfficerElliot is CEO of Robertson Group, bringing over 30 years of industry experience. Formerly Chief Operating Officer and CEO of Robertson Homes, he now drives the Group’s strategic growth, championing innovation, a culture of operational excellence, sustainability, and long-term success across our diverse portfolio of businesses. -
John WatsonGroup Executive ChairmanJohn has 30+ years of experience with success in multiple sectors. A fellow of the Institute of Directors, he has held executive and non-executive positions in capital investment, business growth and economic development. John leads corporate governance and supports the strategic evolution of separate businesses within the Robertson Group portfolio. -
Brian McQuadeChief Operating OfficerBrian sits on the Group Board and brings over 30 years’ construction experience to support Robertson’s 20+ businesses. Since joining in 2019, he has helped drive strategic growth and generational change, drawing on senior leadership experience across major projects in Scotland and the North of England. -
Murray SteeleChief Financial OfficerMurray has over 30 years of international finance and strategy leadership across a range of industries in Europe, Asia and the Americas. With overall responsibility for Finance, IT, Internal Audit and Insurance & Risk Management, Murray is a key contributor to high-impact change projects and strategies to ensure our ongoing operational excellence. -
Rob HoltGroup Director – Strategic ServicesRob has spent 35 years in various management and leadership roles, working in the health, education, housing and local authority sectors. He has experience of complex property, facilities management, and PPP contracts, and has both led and built highly talented teams.

His exemplary leadership expertise includes managing relations between government and the business community, running a global brand and business, and more recently, lending his expertise to the third sector. -
Doug McLeodNon Executive DirectorDoug brings executive leadership and strategic insight for our residential and timber businesses – Robertson Homes, Robertson Partnership Homes and Robertson Timber Engineering.
