Prioritising the needs of customers and young people

Our buildings are designed and delivered to meet modern educational building standards with emphasis on energy efficiency, ensuring ongoing running costs are low.

Many of our education projects are constructed as ‘tandem builds’, delivering new facilities while existing schools are in operation, minimising disruption during term time.

Prioritising learning and wellbeing for today’s young people, our projects feature outdoor learning facilities, flexible internal spaces, the latest teaching technology, and often offer shared facilities that are open to the community, maximising the efficiency and value of public buildings.

Constructing a new educational building for Liverpool College

One shining example of this promise is the Morris Building, constructed for Liverpool College, and completed in just 12 months. We reflected the mix of buildings with local historical interest on the site and adjacent new build student accommodation for the university of Liverpool.

Mynyyd Isa Campus – constructing a net zero school building

Leading the way in low energy education buildings, we proudly delivered the Mynyyd Isa Campus to the highest sustainable construction standards.

It was designed to achieve a BREEAM Excellent certification and be carbon neutral in operation. Developed for WEPCo and officially completed in June 2025, Mynyyd Isa is an shining example of school building construction in North Wales which accommodates the needs of 1,300 pupils. Throughout the course of the project, 3,076 weeks training weeks were offered to apprentices, and 207 jobs were also generated. Spaces were carefully curated for flexibility and function and to allow young people from nursery to high school to utilise outdoor facilities. There are flexible, external play spaces, sports areas and a flood-lit weather grass pitch, allowing young people to learning in high-quality outdoor environments.
