Facilities management adds value – for the client and community
We use market testing to identify where we can generate value for money for NHS Orkney, such as making savings on procuring the site’s heating oil.
Robertson FM has integrated into the Orkney community by retaining a local apprentice who had worked on the project during the construction phase. We are continuing to benefit the local area by attending community group meetings and job fairs, and providing training, mentoring and work experience.
Early engagement builds efficient computer-aided facilities management systems
Robertson FM engaged with the design teams early in the process to define outputs that would ensure maintenance was efficient once the building was handed over. We used BIM data to capture room references, asset information and plant references within our computer aided facilities management (CAFM) system, greatly improving the value that our lifecycle management service will bring over the facility’s lifetime.
