Robertson Residential Group strengthens land team

Steve Loomes joins as strategic land director for Residential Group and Stuart Morgan as land director for Robertson Homes North East England.

RRG, the parent company for Robertson Homes, Living by Robertson and Robertson Partnership Homes, has a bold vision for future growth which includes an increase in its geographical footprint.

Steve and Stuart join Group Land Director, Tony Rankin to implement the new Land Strategy which will see 30% of units delivered through strategic land from 2025 and the potential purchase of up to 30 sites across the Group in the same period.

John Low, chief executive officer, Robertson Residential Group, commented: "I am delighted to welcome Steve and Stuart to our senior team. Both appointments will assist us in delivering against our targets for 2025.

"We have a healthy landbank in excellent locations and are seeking to add to this over the next five years. Many of our current holdings will benefit from the appointment of Steve who will have direct responsibility for realising their potential across our entire group. There are a number of sites where we will be able to utilise the land to the benefit of all three of our residential businesses with a mix of tenure and new communities being established in our executive, first time buyer and downsizer and affordable rental markets. At Robertson we don't just build houses; we create communities with kerb appeal in desirable locations with homes to suit all lifestyles.

"Our Robertson Homes business has been successfully operating in the North East of England for three years and we are seeking new opportunities in the area. We are confident that Stuart's experience in the region will not only enable us to further establish our presence in the region but, working with Tony and Steve, identify sites for our planned geographical expansion in England."

Robertson Residential Group has continued to perform well during the COVID restrictions with new ways of customer engagement and procedures in place to ensure hand overs in line with social distancing requirements. We have also remained active in the land market with new developments commenced and, with others in the short term pipeline, we are looking forward to adding to our portfolio of developments through 2021 and beyond.

John, continues: "The start of the year has been unusual for the entire industry; through careful planning and some new initiatives we have continued to sell and move customers into their new homes across all of our businesses. Our reservation levels are ahead of our revised forecasts and with operations underway on sites across the county in line with Safe Operating Procedures we remain positive for the future. We have also maintained a position of strength financially, with a secured banking facility which positions us well for our growth aspirations.
