Timber frame for BREEAM 'Very Good' development

We manufactured and erected timber frame for this 68-bedroom Premier Inn, which achieved a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating.

Commissioned by Robertson Property, we supplied timber frame for Robertson North East, which delivered construction of the new hotel, situated next to the Spanish City Dome.

Part of a seafront regeneration

The project team worked alongside conservation officers from North Tyneside Council and Tyne and Wear Joint Conservation Team to put the scheme together so that it is sympathetic to the adjacent refurbished Spanish City Dome.

It was part of the council's Seafront Master Plan to reinvigorate the coastline between St Mary's Island and Cullercoats Bay. The regeneration work brought more visitors and businesses Whitley Bay and its coastline, as well as increasing confidence in the borough among businesses as somewhere they can prosper.

One of a portfolio of hotel projects

In 2026, Robertson Timber Engineering has delivered timber frame to 49 hotels across the UK, totalling 2,220 hotel bedrooms.
