Providing hard and soft facilities management for Teesside University, we manage everything from security, waste management and caretaking, to pest control, concierge, and window cleaning.

In a contract lasting 10 years, which has been renewed twice, Robertson Facilities Management manages five key sites for our Higher Education customer:

  • National Horizons Centre
  • The Forge on the Darlington Campus
  • Central Halls in Middlesbrough
  • Fusion Hive in Stockton
  • Saltersgill Sports Ground

Our team is relied upon to provide security, concierge, and cleaning services at their Central Halls. The University wanted to improve the student experience, and the standard of accommodation plays an important role.

We partner with the university’s staff and work as one team to provide a consistent and seamless experience for their students, stakeholders, and visitors.

The Forge is a training centre that forms part of the University’s Darlington Campus. Our 10 employees at the site provide grounds maintenance and soft FM services including cleaning, catering, security, and caretaking and oversee the delivery of security, waste management, sanitary services, cash collection, pest control and window cleaning.

Fusion Hive is an exciting building on Stockton’s Northshore, which is a technology business hub. Our reception supervisor provides front-of-house, finance, and hospitality services, and we also supply grounds maintenance.

And finally, we are responsible for all grounds maintenance, caretaking, and security duties at Saltersgill Pavilion which is an important sports facility for the university’s students.

A relationship that continues to grow

Our relationship has developed far beyond their initial requirement for an external FM provider.

Our team is now fully embedded into the culture and life at Teesside University, supporting staff and students daily.

It’s a partnership based on innovation and collaboration, reinforced through our Investors in People accreditations and awards from PFM (Premises & Facilities Management) and IWFM (Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management) for our work with the university.
