10 year

contract

Over a period 10 years, with two contract renewals, Robertson Facilities Management managed five key sites:

  • National Horizons Centre
  • The Forge on the Darlington Campus
  • Central Halls in Middlesbrough
  • Fusion Hive in Stockton
  • Saltersgill Sports Ground

At Central Halls, our team provided security, concierge, and cleaning services, improving the student experience, by maintaining a high standard of accommodation.

At The Forge, a training centre on the University’s Darlington Campus, our team of 10 employees provided grounds maintenance and soft FM services including cleaning, catering, security, and caretaking as well as security, waste management, sanitary services, cash collection, pest control and window cleaning.

We provided reception at Fusion Hive, a technology business hub on Stockton’s north shore, including front-of-house, finance, and hospitality services.

We were also responsible for all grounds maintenance, caretaking, and security duties at Saltersgill Pavilion, an important sports facility for the university’s students.

Working in partnership

Our relationship on this contract developed far beyond the initial requirement for an external FM provider. Our team became fully embedded into the culture and life at Teesside University, supporting staff and students daily.

We partnered with the university’s staff and worked as one team to provide a consistent and seamless experience for their students, stakeholders, and visitors.

The partnership focused on innovation and collaboration, reinforced through our Investors in People accreditations and awards from PFM (Premises & Facilities Management) and IWFM (Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management) for our work with the university.
