KEY FACTS

Set up to strengthen NHS capacity during the Covid-19 pandemic, our team responded quickly and worked collaboratively with designers and delivery partners.

In just 20 days one of Scotland’s largest exhibition centres was transformed into a fully functional hospital facility. There was a clear determination to get the field hospital in operation as quickly as possible but our team’s safety was paramount.

We implemented revised Health & Safety Operating Procedures to maintain social distancing which were adhered to throughout. The success of the NHS Louisa Jordan project highlights just one of the many benefits of Direct Award procurement, in this case using accelerated timescales because of the urgent nature of the project.
