Robertson wins UK’s Green Innovation Business of the Year
Robertson has been named as Green Innovation Business of the Year by the British Chambers of Commerce at its 2025 Chamber Business Awards, announced last month.
Now in their 22nd year, the national awards are designed to ‘highlight the role of firms in delivering growth, prosperity and innovation across the UK’.
The Green Innovation Award recognises organisations with ‘sustainability at the heart of their business and a commitment to making the world a better and safer place’.
Put forward for the award by Dundee and Angus Chamber of Commerce, Robertson and its Tayside regional business won the award after judges highlighted how ‘sustainability is at the heart of the company’s strategy and values’.
Across its regions, Robertson has a track record of delivering high quality landmark buildings with a particular focus on identifying local community benefits and ensuring the environment is protected, as evidenced in its newly published ESG report.
The ESG report illustrates the measures Robertson has put in place and the high standards it upholds to ensure that the company remains climate positive, and on track to deliver its vision to assure a sustainable future.
Robertson Construction will collect the award at a ceremony at the London Stock Exchange on 26th November – where it will also compete for the Winner of Winners Award alongside other category champions.
Sarah Howard MBE, Chair of the British Chambers of Commerce, said: “Green innovation is front and centre of the work Robertson, and they are worthy winners of this award. Their record of sustainable innovation is truly inspiring to others in the construction industry and the wider business community.”
Elliot Robertson, Chief Executive Officer, Robertson Group, said: “This recognition reflects the strength of work delivered across the Group and is credit to the Tayside team for being selected by their local chamber of commerce as an exemplar of that success.
“We are committed to green innovation through our ongoing investment in sustainable construction methods, low-carbon technologies, responsible sourcing, and early collaboration with design teams to reduce embodied carbon from the outset.
“This award further reinforces our commitment to continuous improvement and sustainable delivery. It acknowledges how we support our supply chain partners to improve their sustainable credentials and assist our customers to meet their net zero aspirations.”
