Summary
Workspaces that deliver for North Lanarkshire's start-up businesses
The fourteen modern start-up units near Motherwell town centre support North Lanarkshire Council’s ambition to boost business growth and employment in the area – part of a wider regeneration strategy.
Appointed to design and build three new blocks with 14 workshops, the project will see the Robertson team – in partnership with hub South West – transform 4,689 m2 of brownfield land into high-quality, accessible and affordable industrial accommodation for local people to start or grow a business.
Businesses moving into the new units will have access to a range of marketing, employability and entrepreneurial support through the council. Additionally, one of the units will be the base for an entrepreneurship partnership with New College Lanarkshire, providing rent-free accommodation and grants to support students to establish new businesses.
