Both Robertson Construction Group and RFM were celebrated for sustained excellence over the past year, with recognition spanning health and safety leadership, operational best practice and environmental sustainability.

RFM was named winner of the prestigious Facilities Management Sector Award, recognising organisations that demonstrate world-class safety performance, robust management systems and a strong safety culture. RFM also received the RoSPA Scotland Trophy, awarded to the highest-performing Scottish entrant within the sector categories, reflecting its consistent delivery of safe, high-quality services across public and private sector contracts.

Additionally, RFM was commended in the Fall Prevention Trophy for innovation and best practice in reducing fall-related risks through training, systems and continuous improvement.

These top-level awards reinforce RFM as a leading total FM partner delivering year-round service excellence, underpinned by a strong commitment to health, safety and wellbeing and continuous improvement. The team of 1,300 people look after over 4,500 buildings throughout the UK, and its deep expertise in lifecycle asset management enables RFM to deliver long-term value and reliability for its clients.

Across all eight Robertson regional construction businesses and Robertson Partnership Homes, a shared commitment to health, safety and environmental excellence was recognised. Robertson Construction Group was commended in the Dilmun International Environmental Award for environmental performance. The business was also highly commended in the Construction Commercial Sector Award, which recognises organisations that benchmark strongly against peers and demonstrate outstanding, verifiable safety leadership, hazard management and injury prevention.

Robertson previously won the Dilmun International Environmental Award in 2024, RoSPA’s highest accolade for environmental management, awarded across all international sectors.

Robertson holds ISO 14001 accreditation and was one of the first UK businesses in the built environment sector to achieve carbon neutrality in 2018. It has since developed into a climate-positive organisation with a structured environmental management system in place. The business continues to reduce emissions through renewable energy use, HVO fuel across sites and biodiversity initiatives, with a transition towards zero operational emissions underway and a 100% fully electric or hybrid car fleet.

Elliot Robertson, Chief Executive Officer, Robertson Group, said: “These outstanding RoSPA achievements reflect the very best of our people and culture. It’s a powerful reminder of the care, leadership and teamwork shown every day across our portfolio of businesses. Our principles-led safety, health and environmental culture is embedded across Robertson. Our success at these awards, which attract 2,000 different entries across nearly 60 countries, highlights how we are going above and beyond.

“Congratulations and thanks to everyone involved for ensuring that the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees, customers, supply chain and anyone involved in or impacted by our work remains our top priority.”

Adrian Mole, Chief Executive Officer, RFM, said: “We work hard to embed the highest health and safety standards across everything we do, and that commitment, coupled with our focus on service excellence, is what makes us a trusted partner of choice. These industry-leading awards are testament to the strength of our people, who are our greatest asset and strive every day to deliver safe, high-quality services for our customers. It’s immensely satisfying to know our commitment to safety and work continues to be recognised.”

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the RoSPA Awards, which began as a small event to recognise the achievements of companies prioritising the safety of workers in UK, and has now grown into the biggest and most prestigious health and safety awards programme in the world, with the 2026 awards attracting 2,000 different entries from nearly 60 countries.
