£15 million Tullibody School Campus opened
hub East Central Scotland delivers state-of-the-art £15 million Tullibody South Campus, in partnership with Clackmannanshire Council, and with Robertson Construction as the main contractor.
Pupils at Abercromby Primary, St Bernadette's RC Primary and Tulach Nursery celebrated the official opening of their £15 million Tullibody South Campus.
The state-of-the-art new campus has been built on the grounds of the existing Abercromby Primary and has been delivered by hub East Central Scotland in partnership with Clackmannanshire Council and with Robertson Construction as the main contractor. The project was funded by the Council and by the Scottish Government's Schools for the Future and Early Years programme.
Pupils from the three establishments are enjoying a wonderful new learning environment within Tullibody South. Flexible and open learning spaces within the campus have been carefully designed to provide exciting and innovative experiences for children, with the latest digital technology, use of outdoor space and soft furnishings available throughout to encourage collaborative or individual learning and teaching.â¯
The campus also incorporates two gym halls, meeting spaces and an Immersive room. Externally there is a new artificial pitch for football, external play areas and a hard play space marked out for netball. The relocated Tullibody CAP which provides community library services also operates from the campus.
In the coming months, the old building will be demolished, with the area landscaped and a new pitch, paths and playground created on the site.
Young people from academies across Clackmannanshire have benefitted from construction courses and work experience during the building phase. Stakeholders from the community have been involved throughout the process.â¯
Cllr Graham Lindsay, Education Spokesperson at Clackmannanshire Council said: "This is an exciting day for the community of Tullibody, as we celebrate the official opening of this fabulous new campus. Tullibody South is providing a new and exciting education experience for pupils at the two schools and new nursery, as well as a modern library for the people of Tullibody.
"This facility is among the best in the country, with state-of-the-art teaching facilities which are providing many exciting new learning experiences for our young people. I'm delighted that the Council and the Scottish Government have invested to deliver these new schools and nursery, which is helping us to offer the extended 1140 hours of childcare to three-year old's."
Keith Brown MSP carried out the official opening and commented: "Tullibody South Campus is an impressive, state-of-the-art learning space, the result of an excellent partnership between Clackmannanshire Council, the Scottish Government and Scottish Futures Trust.
"The campus received over £5 and a half million of Scottish Government funding, adding to over £10 million of council allocated funds, reflecting the importance of education as the number one priority here in Clackmannanshire.â¯
"The pupils of Abercromby, St Bernadette's and Tulach will benefit from an innovative, learner central campus that will inspire and support them throughout their learning journey, equipping them with the skills they need to take on the challenges of the 21st century.â¯
"I wish the pupils and teachers at Tullibody South Campus every future success."
