Peter Grieve & Beth Santangeli join the Built Environment Board

Peter Grieve, Operations Director for the North West, has been appointed chairman on a new board put together by Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).

The LEP has compiled a board of 23 senior leaders from across the public and private sector built environment communities to advise on built environment issues and economic growth across the city region. Beth Santangeli, Business Development Manager for the North West, also joins the board which is called 'Built Environment Board for the Liverpool City Region'.

In the short term, the board will focus on the city region's economic recovery from the coronavirus pandemic. However, it will also look at strategies for longer term growth, productivity and competitiveness using the built environment – property, regeneration and infrastructure – as tools for sustainable growth.

It will aim to draw up a strategic plan for the region's built environment activity over the years ahead. The board will also look at ways of accessing national and regional funding streams to support its goals.

Peter Grieve, Operations Director, Robertson North West, said: "The built environment agenda is an important one, but now more than ever, in a pandemic crisis and beyond, it is vital that we can support and guide the city region in moving forward in its growth.

"Our board members have a vast range of experience and diversity from across the city region and provide a wealth of knowledge to draw upon."

Dirk Pittaway, Regional Managing Director, Robertson North West, said: "Peter's selection is a credit to the trust and respect he has in the Liverpool region, and to the many years of hard work supporting the Liverpool City region's built environment.

"Peter will have some friendly support in this role, as Beth Santangeli has also been appointed to the board. We are very lucky to have them both as part of our NW business and their appointments are a real credit to their hard work and dedication."

The panel will meet on a regular basis to draw up its strategy in the months ahead. A list of all board members can be accessed at www.liverpoollep.org/growth-sectors/built-environment/
