Mini Construction Zone opens at Aberdeen Science Centre with support from Robertson

The Mini Construction Zone – part of the centre’s existing Make It Zone – encourages children to explore the world of construction through hands-on role-play. Foam bricks, toy tools, hi-vis vests and hard hats are all part of the experience, designed to bring STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) to life in a fun and accessible way.

Robertson is sponsoring the space as part of its wider commitment to inspiring future careers in construction. Alongside the play equipment, the area also includes information about local building projects and the wide range of careers available in the sector.

The partnership reflects a shared ambition between Robertson and Aberdeen Science Centre to spark curiosity and creativity through real-world learning.

Social impact is a big part of what we do, and this builds on the work already happening across our projects in Aberdeen. We are hoping this helps inspire a new generation to consider a role in the built environment.”
