Construction of a cutting-edge Science Teaching Hub for the University of Aberdeen is well underway. The development on the edge of the Old Aberdeen Campus is part of an ambitious regeneration plan which will maintain the university’s status as a world-class, higher education institution.
The building design is focused on providing the best possible learning experience for science students with hi-tech, multi-functional teaching and learning areas, and a central atrium to inspire collaboration outwith classes. Large ground floor windows give passers-by a glimpse into the building to see science in action. And the flexible laboratory spaces facilitate access for schools to encourage engagement with STEM activities.
The project was procured through the Scape Major Works Scotland framework, saving time on delivery and bringing guaranteed quality, value for money and social value benefits.
