The new campus features a range of modern learning spaces and is the next in the Arbroath schools project.  Angus Council is moving towards a school estate which provides the best quality learning environments for all children and young people, while providing facilities that are available to the community.

Robertson is delivering the project in partnership with hub East Central Scotland and the Scottish Futures Trust for Angus Council.

Robertson is also constructing Ladyloan and Muirfield Primary Schools, both due for completion in 2019 and completed Timmergreens and Warddykes Primary Schools in 2016.

A campus with shared education facilities

The new shared campus will include:

Construction of the new primary school

It is a steel frame building, with an internal floor area of 5376m2, a structural timber external ‘envelope’ with cladding in facing brick and timber, with an aluminium standing seam roof.

Pupils are due to move in in February 2020, on completion of the first phase of the project, with the second phase completing in summer 2020.

World class shared facilities

The school will deliver the very best teaching and learning environment for the people of Arbroath within a realistic budget. As well as meeting future educational needs it will be vibrant community asset as well, with many facilities available for locals to use.

When open, the shared campus for Hayshead and St Thomas’ RC Primary Schools and early years facility will play a vital part in the local community.
