Based at RAF Lossiemouth, the vast, predominantly steel structure will be 15m high, 120m long and 100m wide. It will have capacity to hold three planes at any given time, and will house a research and development bay.

Robertson is collaborating with Ridge Architecture using BIM (Building Information Modelling) which is an intelligent 3D model based process. Work is now underway, with an expected completion date of April 2020.

Robertson is no stranger to delivering projects of scale, having seen the £140m Macallan Distillery unveiled in May and the AECC (Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre) progressing towards completion in 209.

We are particularly happy to be working on a project that once complete, will provide around 650 local jobs. This will be a huge boost to local Moray communities and beyond.

– Derek Shewan, CEO, Robertson Group
