The development plans include three drive-thru units adjacent to a retail building, which will be split into separate units.

The units are being marketed by Robertson Property through Commercial Property Consultancy FG Burnett, with negotiations taking place with potential occupants.

Speaking about the plans, Robertson Regeneration and Property Managing Director Katherine Mackintosh said: “Robertson Property is proposing to redevelop the former Laurie’s Motel for three drive-thru restaurants, including a KFC, and a local retail unit.”

It is anticipated that the new development will create jobs in the local area.

Katherine added: “The proposed site is on the edge of Altens industrial estate. The redevelopment of this vacant Brownfield site will be a positive contribution to the surrounding area and complementary to neighbouring businesses.”

It’s hoped Planning Consent will be granted by Aberdeen City Council in autumn 2018, with works starting on site in spring 2019.
