Robertson worked in partnership with housing provider Sanctuary Scotland Housing Association to deliver 44 affordable new homes in Portsoy, Aberdeenshire.
Robertson has constructed a £5.8m housing development at Portsoy's Park Crescent. The properties – 23 houses, 20 cottage flats and one bungalow – boost the availability of high-quality, social rented housing in north Aberdeenshire.
Supporting Council plans with this residential development
This housing project supports Aberdeenshire Council's strategic housing investment plan and was supported with a £3.9 million grant from the Scottish Government. This affordable residential development aims to incorporate the location in its house design, focusing on achieving distinct rural character whilst respecting and enhancing existing features of the site.
These new build homes are a welcome addition to the 18 properties already managed by Sanctuary in Portsoy.
Transforming a site into homes
This development transformed the site where the town's former Campbell Hospital once stood, Campbell Hospital saw an upgrade in 2011 and now stands in a neighbouring facility situated in Banff.
The development lies within a predominantly residential area and attractively completes the western boundary edge of the settlement.
Robertson Partnership Homes delivered the development as the first design and build contract with Sanctuary Housing Association in the region.
