Regenerating facilities for the community

Robertson has constructed a new centre for the Menzieshill community in Dundee. The new community centre, packed with adaptable, community-friendly features, has been built by Robertson Tayside in front of the existing community facilities.

Key facts

  • youth room, a library, multi-purpose community rooms and areas and cafe
  • two sports halls, with electronic scoreboards and electrically operated basketball nets

Robertson Civil Engineering carried out the groundworks and concrete works on the project. Substantial levels of contamination were highlighted, and a detailed remediation plan was created.

The project was procured through Scape Scotland, a leading public sector procurement authority, dedicated to creating spaces, places and experiences that leave a sustainable legacy, whilst enriching the local economy across Scotland.

This is the third of the Council's developments to regenerate the facilities available to this community, all procured through Scape frameworks and delivered by Robertson. Work has previously included the new Tayview Primary School and Menzieshill Community Gardens.
