The £31 million school has been modernised for its pupils and for the community who will be able to access many of its facilities out with school hours.

A 3D printer, 25m swimming pool and recording studio are just some of the new features that will be unveiled when the first wave of students arrives on June 6.

I’m really happy. It’s a building that has very much been designed with open space in mind. There’s a lot of flexible space.

“There is a lot of training for the staff to get to grips with the new equipment. They’re looking forward to getting back to Harris’ home.”

Kirsten Ferrier, 17, a Menzieshill student, said: “It’s a lot more modern. It’s a massive change. Over the next week with the induction we will get to meet loads of new people and new groups, and learning about all the different opportunities.”
