Robertson Group rounds off 2005 with a series of project wins to the tune of £200million

Elgin-based Robertson Group has rounded off 2005 by celebrating a series of significant project wins as the firm has net over £200 million worth of business in the last two months of the year.

Such accumulation of work has resulted in business growth for the Robertson Group which anticipates a number of vacancies within the various companies within the group.

Robertson Capital Projects rejoices as it’s appointed ‘Preferred Bidder’ status in new schools project for Angus

Robertson Capital Projects is today celebrating its appointment as ‘preferred bidder’ by Angus Council to embark on a £50 million schools PPP project.

The announcement marks a significant double achievement for the business in just three weeks, which will see Robertson Capital Projects develop 15 new local authority schools for Scotland in a £150 million combined investment.

Eden Court project - construction contractor announced

Eden Court has appointed Elgin based construction company Robertson Construction Northern as the main contractor for the prestigious capital development project.

The contractors will move on site this month, although some foundations testing and preparatory work has already begun.

New headquarters for Scottish Natural Heritage unveiled

New 21st century headquarters for Scottish Natural Heritage at Westercraigs in Inverness has been welcomed by Rhona Brankin, Deputy Minister for the Environment, who carried out the topping out ceremony for the building today (Tuesday, 6 September).

Robertson Facilities Management has been recognised with a prestigious national training and employment award.

The Scottish company, which employs 190 staff based throughout 19 sites around Scotland and the north of England, has received the coveted Investors in People (IIP) National Standard.

Robertson Construction hosts Aviemore open day for local businesses

Robertson Construction Northern, Robertson Homes and Albyn Housing Society is to host an Open Day in a bid to involve local businesses in the Aviemore area who can be involved with the project to build over 200 new homes at Lochan Mor at Aviemore North.

The Open Day will be held at the Morlich Suite of the Aviemore Resort Conference Centre from 10am to 4pm on Friday 19 August.

Robertson Construction hosts scaffolding safety exercise for pupils of Portree

Over 300 senior school pupils were treated to a scaffolding safety exercise at a recent careers fair held by Careers Scotland in Portree.

The safety exercise was initiated by Robertson Construction which invited pupils to identify health and safety hazards on specially constructed scaffolding.

Resident ghost first to tread the boards at the new HM Theatre

The grand opening of Her Majesty’s Theatre, Aberdeen, was one step closer this week as Robertson Construction put the finishing touches to the building.

Although not yet used by thespians, a group of workmen have suffered their own stage fright while working on the £7.5m refurbishment and extension of the theatre.
